Vacation is a wonderful thing!

I am on vacation this week and am LOVING it. The only thing that would be better would be that it would be a little warmer. I spent all day Sunday reading and stitching..a little cleaning and a little cooking. Today will be a repeat..then tonite is the Falcons vs Saints..will be cheering for the Falcons. Anyone that knows me knows I am a loud football fan. No stitching tonite.

My wonderful family gave me either cash or gift certificates for cross-stitch shopping and I cant wait till Tuesday. I had my eye on a few things and feel the need to add to my stash!

Finally got all of my decorating done..ran a little late this year. Some of the shopping is completed mainly for my grandson Christian...he is such a little sweetie! I am a practical grandma mainly clothes, some books and a couple of small toys. My parents are in Arizona for the winter so need to get theirs in the mail no later than tomorrow! This weekend I am going to a Saturday stitch-in, can't wait...have to resist shopping though. I am going to go the week after Christmas while I am on vacation! I am off from December 22nd till January 3rd...longest time off in a long time!

Back in the Stitching Habit

I am normally a seasonal stitcher but this year have seemed to been able to find time to stitch quite a bit. I have become hooked on Little House Needlework pieces and am currently working on "Under the Prairie Moon".

I have been stitching for about 27 years and until recently did not keep anything that I had stitched. I have become selfish in my "old age" and decided to stitch things that I want to do for me! Seem to be enjoying it more than ever!

I am lucky to a wonderful LNS just 2 miles from my home..it is also located close enough that I can run over on my lunch hour if needed which can be dangerous! So if anyone in the Atlanta area is looking for an LNS go by and see Teri at The Stitch Store (The Stitch Store Cross Stitch Shop)
